Our Aston Villa fans here in the Transfer Tavern are fed up with how this season has gone so far and the latest report concerning their club appears to be the final straw.
The Villans just haven’t had the season they’d have wanted as the start of the campaign with many hoping that a return to the Premier League would be on the cards.
Steve Bruce will be hoping to just consolidate for this season now, then, and build ahead of next year but it appears his latest potential signing is not going down well.
The Birmingham Mail have reported that the club have taken Chris Samba on trial with the idea that he could help out with the club’s centre-halves.
Currently a free agent, Samba has had spells in this country before with QPR and most notably Blackburn where he was a success but things have taken a turn for the worse since.
Many can’t see how it’s going to work out for him at the club, then, with our landlord certainly having his own reservations and they’ve definitely been echoed by the club’s fans on Twitter.
Here’s some of the best of the reactions:

We'll pay him 50k a week, and he'll be at fault for every goal when we lose 4-0 to Walsall next season
