Aston Villa fans here in the Tavern will be hoping that their side can secure promotion later on today, as they face Fulham in the Championship play-off final.
Indeed, the Villains have been rather impressive this season as they remain on course for promotion to the Premier League, with today’s match against Fulham being of huge importance to both supporters and the club.
Of course, if Villa manage to secure promotion later on today, they may be able to attract a number of world-class players this summer, as a move to the Premier League would be an attractive proposition. John Terry has been an influential figure for Aston Villa this season, as his experience and quality has helped them reach the play-off final. Encouragingly, the 32-year-old has been in and out of the Chelsea side this year and his future remains uncertain. So, going in for the central defender would make a big statement next season.
Yannick Bolasie has a point to prove but faces increased competition at current club Everton.
Many of our local residents believe that having him and Albert Adomah on either flank next season would make them an unstoppable force, as they both played together at Bristol City earlier on in their careers.
So, having seen the Congo international tear up the Premier League in years gone by, perhaps Villa should look to make a move for the Everton man as a dangerous attacking outlet.Like what the TT have on offer? Sign up for more notifications!
