Aston Villa will meet Leeds United at Villa Park on Sunday as they look to continue their unbeaten run.
Dean Smith has certainly changed things around for the Villans since being appointed as manager, although the Whites will arguably be his biggest test so far.
Smith has revealed that Jack Grealish was a major doubt for the trip to the Championship leaders on Sunday.
“Not really for Grealish,” he said when he was asked if the midfielder would be available.
He did later reveal that he expected a number of other players to be available for the game, admitting he was ‘hopeful of being spoilt for choice’.
Grealish has been a key player for the Villans this season and his potential absence will be a huge blow for Aston Villa.
The midfielder, who came close to joining Tottenham Hotspur in the summer, has helped the Midlands outfit immensely in their run of seven matches without defeat, including their Second City derby win against Birmingham City.
With the likes of Birkir Bjarnason, Mile Jedinak and Albert Adomah thought to be available for the game, it will make Grealish absence a little easier to cope with.
