John McGinn receives knock during Millwall clash

Things could be about to get even worse for Aston Villa this season.

The Villans were beaten in their first match following the sacking of Steve Bruce, making it just one win in their last 11 matches.

However, the bigger concern for the club now as they head into the international break will be the potential loss of John McGinn.

According to a report by the Birmingham Mail, the midfielder was forced to come off during their defeat to Millwall with an ankle injury.

The Scotland international had to leave the field after trying his best to shake the knock off, however, he could not and was replaced by Yannick Bolasie with 20 minutes to go.

The Verdict:

Villa have had horrible luck with injuries this season and will be hopeful that McGinn’s is not serious.

The midfielder, who arrived in the summer from Hibernian, has managed to put in a good couple of performances for the Villa Park outfit, despite the club having such a dreadful season.

With the international break coming up, the Midlands outfit will be hopeful the player will be able to recover from the knock during that period and be ready to return to action when they take on Swansea City in two weeks.
