Aston Villa finally announced that Dean Smith would be the man to take the reigns at the club following the sacking of Steve Bruce.
The Villans have been disappointing this season so far and the former Brentford manager has been tasked with trying to sort the mess out.
The Villa Park outfit have won just one match in their last 11 competitive fixtures and find themselves in the lowly depths of the Championship.
John Terry also made a return to the club as their new assistant manager, however, that appointment appears to have cost the club in terms of bringing other possible manager’s they had in mind.
It is being claimed that trio had wanted to bring their own men to the club, but Villa are keen on getting Terry up to scratch, in order for him to eventually lead the team should the time come.
Smith, which should be regarded as an excellent appointment, will be a great person for Terry to learn from if their plans are to give the former England captain the reigns in the future.
Faria and Henry have yet to taste any experience as a managerial figure, despite having a number of great experiences between them, whilst Fonseca would likely want to have brought his own assistant over from Shakhtar Donetsk.
It will remain to be seen how Terry will develop in the next stage of his football career, however, he is a favourite at the club and everyone will be eager to see how he and Smith work together over the coming months.
