Our Aston Villa fans here in the Transfer Tavern are certainly excited to see what their club can do in the summer transfer window when it opens up for business.
The men from Villa Park have had time to regroup and will now surely be looking to push on and get themselves back into the Premier League.
Of course, that is no easy task thanks to the sheer competitiveness of the Championship but they will feel as though they can draw the best names in possible thanks to the size of the club.
The club, then, are likely going to spend some serious cash in the summer window and it certainly seems that way if you take CEO Keith Wyness’ words into account – via The Birmingham Mail.
“There was an intention last year to spend to get up.
“It didn’t happen but we could have spent a lot more.
All this money hasn’t disappeared, it’s still within the squad value in some shape or form and it’ll still be one of the biggest budgets in the Championship.”
Villa fans, then, should expect to see their side throwing some money around in the summer window and now it just remains to be seen whether or not the club can get the right players in.
