Our Aston Villa fans here in the Transfer Tavern are really looking forward to seeing how their side gets on in the Championship this year.
The new EFL season commences this weekend and Villa fans here by the bar are being very vocal about their chances of promotion this year.
Indeed, with John Terry on the pitch, Steve Bruce on the touchline and Dr. Tony Xia at the helm of the club there is certainly reason to be optimistic and now the players need to deliver.
The excitement, then, is building and Bruce certainly seems ready to get going when his side face Hull this weekend.
Indeed, speaking to the Birmingham Mail, he said:
“I’m looking forward to it immensely it’s my old club and those games always have that little bit of an edge.”
Bruce, then, seems very fired up for a match against his old club in Hull City and it would certainly be the perfect start to proceedings if his club was to get going with a win.
Indeed, our Villa punters here by the bar are certainly expecting such a start.
Villa are rightly one of the favourites for the league this season and their game against Hull should be a good early test.
The Tigers played nice football last season before getting relegated and, though, there has been much change, they’ll still pose a threat.
If Villa can win, then, the club is going to be confident of a successful season.
