Reading FC fans in the Football Transfer Tavern have had mixed feelings about their new manager Jaap Stam, and who can blame them, with their club's managerial appointments in recent years proving to be less then successful.

Now, it seems that the Royals are battling to keep one of their brightest prospects in Aaron Tshibola, who has drawn attention from Norwich and Aston Villa.

Tshibola is also thought to have been on the lips of Premier League outfit Crystal Palace, who are looking to complete a squad overhaul in the summer.

The 21-year-old was loaned out to Hartlepool in the 2014/15 season and his efforts rewarded him a place in the first team last year, making 16 appearances in Berkshire.

Unfortunately, his break through campaign was curtailed prematurely after being forced out of the team through hamstring injury.

It is reported that Norwich have had a £2million lodge rejected for the youngster, and Get Reading have said the bid was one of many in recent weeks.

Who will finish higher next season, Villa or Norwich?
