Aston Villa will be looking to continue their impressive start the season against Reading at Villa Park.

The Villains remain unbeaten in the Championship so far and currently sit fifth in the standings. Steve Bruce will be delighted with the start his side has made after a turbulent summer where his own future seemed in doubt at one point. Villa fans can finally be optimistic for the future following Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens’ takeover of the club.

Despite the transfer slamming shut two weeks ago, EFL clubs can still sign players on loan until the end of the month. Reports suggest that Villa have fended off competition from Middlesbrough to secure the services of Everton winger – Yannick Bolasie. The DR Congo international will be joined at Villa Park by Lille winger, Anwar El Ghazi, who also signed on loan.

To continue their excellent business, Villa must make a loan move for Chelsea forward – Lucas Piazon. Valued at £2.25m by Transfermarkt, the Blues paid £5m for the Brazilian back in 2012, but he has made just one appearance for the Londoners after being sent out on various loan spells. Piazon is no stranger to the Championship following spells with both Reading and Fulham. With his route to the first-team still blocked, another loan move may be on the cards.

Piazon 23 appearances for the Cottagers last season, scoring five and assisting four as they secured promotion to the Premier League. The 24-year-old can play on either wing or through the middle making him a useful option for Bruce to have at his disposal. The forward would have no trouble adapting to the league and could prove to be a brilliant rotation option in a gruelling season.

A loan move with the option to buy should be a no-brainer for the Villains.
