Tottenham Hotspur can count themselves lucky as results went their way at the weekend which meant that they stayed in third position in the Premier League.
Spurs have to be more ruthless against sides in the top-six in the future if they are to challenge at the very top as Son Heung-min squandered a number of opportunities against Manchester City.
It appears as if the north London club are looking at possible additions ahead of the summer, as according to Football Insider (Noel Whelan), Jack Grealish could sign for Tottenham.
Grealish has been one of the form men in the Championship in recent times, so here are the potential consequences of the Spurs bringing him to their new stadium this summer…
DANIEL LEVY FINALLY LANDS TRANSFER TARGET
Daniel Levy hasn’t enjoyed much success on the transfer front over the past couple of windows as he’s failed to sign a single player. Although, Spurs reportedly (as per Sky Sports) made a couple of bids towards the end of the summer transfer window, so it wasn’t as if he wasn’t trying to bring players in.
Of course, with Villa possibly missing out on promotion and Grealish possibly looking to progress in the Premier League, it would be great for Levy if he finally manages to land his transfer target this summer.
ERIKSEN SUCCESSOR
Christian Eriksen’s future has been a big worry for Spurs fans in recent times with the summer transfer window edging closer, and according to El Chiringuito, the Dane wants to leave.
So, with Eriksen possibly departing in the summer it would make perfect sense for Spurs to bring Grealish in as his successor as they operate in the same position and he’s been just as exciting this season. He’s bang in-form at this moment in time and he has all the ingredients to become a star in the Premier League.
