Aston Villa fans in the Transfer Tavern will be concerned with the developments, or lack of, coming from the club in recent weeks and will want the problems sorted out as soon as possible.
The Villans in the bar saw their side lose to Fulham in the Championship Play-Off final over two weeks ago and that appears to have had a domino effect on a number of things within the club. The Villa Park outfit will need to let go of a number of talented stars this summer as they will need to be in line with Financial Fair Play rules, but they could also lose other key figures.
However, according to reports in the Telegraph, there is some confusion over whether Steve Bruce will still be at the club at the beginning of next season. His future remains in doubt and it has been claimed that he has not been told by Dr Tony Xia that he is wanted to remain at the helm, despite the future of the Chinese businessman himself.
There seem to be some troubling times ahead for the locals in the Tavern in regards to their club, with punters disappointed with the news that there is so much uncertainty swirling around at the moment.
The punters in the bar would have been hoping that Xia could have saved them from the disastrous times under Randy Lerner, however, his inability to confirm to Bruce his plans could prove damaging to the Villa Park outfit once again.
Bruce is desperate to know whether he will still be in charge when the Championship campaign begins and may be forced to look elsewhere if he is not given any clarification on the matter soon.
