Aston Villa could be preparing to welcome back one of their attacking options to the side in the near future.
The striker has missed the whole campaign so far for the Villans, including their pre-season with the issue, however, it appears that he has made a return to training for Steve Bruce’s side.
The manager admitted he was hopeful he would have the former Brentford man available following the conclusion of the international break.
“He’s back out on the grass now and we’re hoping he will be back after the international break,” he told the Birmingham Mail.
Hogan, who will need to compete for a place in the team with Jonathan Kodjia and Tammy Abraham, will be looking to kick on with his career at Villa Park as he has struggled to replicate the form that he produced at Brentford.
It will be a welcomed boost to Bruce and his Villa side as they look to push on with their Championship campaign.
Hogan will be looking to hit the ground running and improve on last season’s efforts, where he netted just six times in 38 league appearances.
However, with the likes of Kodjia and Abraham also available, the 26-year-old will need to work hard and earn his place in the starting XI over the coming weeks.
