Aston Villa are looking to make a host of sales this transfer window to help generate funds and improve the club's current financial situation.
And one significant departure is likely to come up front with Villa said to be open to selling either one of Jonathan Kodjia or Scott Hogan, who is valued at £6.3m by Transfermarkt.
The Breakdown
Bruce, though, is determined to keep hold of the 26-year-old, making Kodjia the more likelier of the two to leave Villa Park.
However, Bruce should strongly reconsider his stance and opt to retain Kodjia ahead of Hogan if it is a choice between the two.
Kodjia spent the majority of last season on the sidelines and, in his absence, Hogan was unable to be as effective in front of goal as the Ivorian.
All in all, Hogan has not been efficient enough since moving to Villa Park, failing to replicate the goalscoring form he displayed at Brentford in the first half of the 2016/17 Championship campaign.
Villa, in this moment of time, are being linked with some very underwhelming centre-forwards.
The worst thing the club can do right now is get rid of one of their best goalscorers at the expense of a No.9, who has been misfiring for some time.
