The Aston Villa fans in the Transfer Tavern are extremely nervous as the Championship play-off final draws closer and closer, will they or won’t they return to the top flight?
It’s been a very turbulent season for the Villans in the Tavern but they’re hoping that their days with the Championship are over so they can go back to where they belong. Our punters have really enjoyed the performances of Robert Snodgrass this season but that doesn’t mean to say that he will stay at Aston Villa beyond next season. In replacement, a French winger by the name of Wesley Said, who is valued at £5.4 million on Transfermarkt, is a player seriously worth looking at.
The winger currently plays his football for Ligue 1 outfit Dijon and in 29 league appearances this season, he scored 9 nine goals as well as assisting 4 for his team-mates. Said, 23, can play in a number of positions including both wings and as a frontman but wherever he plays he has shown this season to be very capable and a player that could be worth a gamble from a side like Aston Villa.
Although he only joined the French side last summer, Villa have the power to make such a bold move for a player who could prove to have what it takes to perform well in England also. Whatever league Aston Villa may find themselves in next campaign, they know that they need to make vast improvements to the team to have any chance of enjoying a successful campaign, the signature of Wesley Said would be a great way to start our punters feel.
