Aston Villa supporters are still yet to get over last season’s heartbreak as they failed to overcome the challenges of Fulham in the Championship play-off final.
Indeed, the Villains haven’t had much to shout about over the course of the summer transfer window as they’ve faced a number of financial issues. Although, things are now looking up, as according to Sky Sports, Steve Bruce has said that Aston Villa should now be able to “name their price” for Jack Grealish this summer.
Steve Bruce says Aston Villa should now be able to “name their price” on midfielder Jack Grealish after investment into the club was revealed.
Egyptian billionaire Nassef Sawiris and American Businessman Wes Edens are set to take charge at Villa Park after making what is reported to be a “significant investment” in the Sky Bet Championship club.
“I know for a fact from the owners – new investors – anybody wanting to buy Jack Grealish will not buy him on the cheap.”
“So if anybody is going to buy one of our players now they are going to have to pay a premium.”
So, it looks as if Aston Villa will receive a premium price for Jack Grealish after investment into the club was revealed.
Obviously losing Grealish would be a huge blow for supporters and everyone involved with the club, but getting the right price for him is vital in order for the Villains to go out and bring in a suitable replacement and other quality players that can help push for promotion.
