Aston Villa could be about to launch a move to bring back one of the standouts from last season as they look to get back to the Premier League.
The Chelsea legend helped guide the Villans to a Championship final, in which they lost to Fulham, and had to leave the club due to their financial concerns following the defeat.
However, Bruce is keen on bringing the 37-year-old back and wants the club’s new owners to sanction a move.
The pressure is thought to be mounting on the manager already, following a heavy defeat to Sheffield United on Saturday, which sees the club already five points behind Championship leaders Leeds United and Middlesbrough.
Aston Villa should look to bring Terry back to Villa Park regardless of how much it will cost them.
Although his best days are behind him, the Chelsea legend will be able to produce solid performances for the Championship outfit and proved more than capable during their campaign last year.
With just James Chester their only recognised centre-back, following failed attempts to bring new additions to the team and the decision to let Tommy Elphick depart on loan, Bruce will need Terry to arrive and potentially save his job at Villa Park.
