Aston Villa might have found their long-term solution up front in Tammy Abraham and after Sunday's performance in the Second City Derby, the club should highly consider making Chelsea a permanent offer for his services.

Abraham, on loan from the Blues, starred in Villa's 4-2 win over their rivals, scoring from the spot for the club's third goal of the afternoon after he went down in the box early in the second-half.

But the 21-year-old's all-round performance has been hugely impressive, not only in Sunday's match, but the whole season,  taking his tally up to six goals in 12 matches. Abraham also got his name on the score-sheet when Villa thumped Derby County 3-0 before the international break.

His consistency and calmness in front goal make him a great fit for any team, but could be of even higher value to Dean Smith's club in the future and will a long-term deal at Villa Park benefit both parties.

Abraham, who came through the Chelsea ranks, but is on his third loan-spell after making his professional debut for the London club in a Premier League match against Liverpool in 2016.

Current circumstances at Stamford Bridge might also however have Maurizio Sarri keeping an eye on Abraham's games, as they could turn to him as a replacement for out of form centre-forward Alvaro Morata.

But it is expected that Chelsea would rather splash some money on a more recognised striker to improve their attacking options, leaving the door open for Villa to pin Abraham down on a permanent deal.

Since losing to Queens Park Rangers, Villa seem to have turned a tide as they push for a playoff spot in the Championship.

And, Abraham's partnership with midfielder Jack Grealish, who plays just behind the forward, has proved to be highly successful for Dean Smith.

Smith and his Villa team would, therefore, benefit significantly from what Abraham offers if they were to play in the Premier League again from next season on.
