Aston Villa performed well below par under Steve Bruce as they currently sit in fifteenth position after 12 Championship fixtures.
The Villains will be hoping to come on leaps and bounds under the guidance of Dean Smith and John Terry, with promotion still possible if they start ensuring some consistency.
One player that set very high standards under Steve Bruce and will be even better under Smith is Jonathan Kodjia. The forward has been one of the main driving forces for the Villains so far this season, scoring four goals and providing two assists, with plenty more to come from the 28-year-old.
But, he hasn’t been the only player enjoying a rich vein of form this season, with one player in particular earning plenty of points for his side.
With that in mind, this Aston Villa star will earn Smith more points this season…
Tammy Abraham joined Aston Villa on loan from Premier League side Chelsea at the end of August, and it’s fair to say that he hasn’t looked back since as one of the most dangerous strikers in the Championship.
Indeed, the Englishman already has three goals under his belt and will look to really kick on under the guidance of Dean Smith this season.
So, it’s clear to see that Abraham has contributed towards a number of points this season, with supporters hoping that he can rediscover his Bristol City form.
