‘Thank God for that’ – Aston Villa fans react as club issue fitness news

The Aston Villa fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to the news that Neil Taylor is unlikely to be fit for the club’s game away at Bolton tomorrow in the Championship. The Villains will be hoping they can bounce back after a shock defeat a home to QPR on Tuesday night, Ian Holloway’s side ran riot as they beat Villa 3-1, increasing the gap between Villa and the automatic promotion spots to seven points.

Steve Bruce’s side will still be hoping his side can sneak into the Championship’s automatic promotion places at the expense of Neil Warnock’s Cardiff. The Championship season has just nine games left to play and with a seven-point gap between 2nd and 3rd, it’s not impossible for the Villa Park faithful. Although they’ll have to struggle without Neil Taylor, Alan Hutton and Axel Tuanzebe for their trip to the Macron Stadium tomorrow, but will still be confident of picking up all three points against the Championship’s 20th placed side.

Our resident Villains will be hoping they can make a swift return to the Premier League after their relegation from the top flight back in 2016. Prior to their relegation, Villa had been ever-presents in the league having been in the top flight since the 1988/89 season. Villa have shown signs of brilliance this season, as just last Saturday hey put the league leaders, Wolves, to the sword at Villa Park, coming out 4-1 winners. However, fans of the Birmingham club will be hoping their can side can bring some consistency to their performances if they want to reinstate themselves as a top-flight club.
