The midfielder looks set to leave Villa Park after just two years in England, with many supporters feeling he was not able to produce his best for the club, who were relegated last season.
In honesty, the midfield enforcer was in and out of the Villa team during his tenure in England, failing to hold down a constant first-team berth as managers came and went during turbulent times in the Midlands.
The 30-year-old midfielder is understood to moving to Italy on an initial loan-deal with the option to sign on a permanent deal next summer.
French outfit Marseille were believed to be keen on bringing Sanchez back to France, where he six years with Valenciennes between 2007 and 2013, where he arguably found his best form.
