With the fate of their Premier League promotion hanging in the balance, rivals West Bromwich Albion and Aston Villa collide to gain the ultimate bragging rights.
Indeed, the West Midlands derby hasn’t been this important for a long time, as both sides fight hard to prevail to the Championship play-off final.
While this derby is anything but boring, it’ll be decided on whose attack is more clinical. Exciting stuff.
The Baggies and the Villans have scored many goals in the league phase, with Dwight Gayle and Tammy Abraham spearheading their attack brilliantly.
All in all, the battle of the loanees come to a boiling point with a few end-of-season treats.
Here’s a closer look at it.
The Chelsea man is turning out to be a sensational coup. Frankly, he’s been in inspirational form in the Championship after struggling with the Premier League intensity. Abraham’s scored 25 goals in 37 appearances for Villa, turning up with crucial strikes whenever needed.
His incisive movement, lethal finishing ability and menacing nature in the penalty area has been too hot for defenders to handle. As his side’s biggest games await, the 21-year-old will aim to pounce on West Brom’s defensive problems and crush their spirit by scoring some crucial goals to become a derby hero.

West Brom took a gamble with bringing Gayle on loan after his inconsistent season last time in the Premier League, though it’s turned out a brilliant move.
As ever, the 28-year-old striker’s taken to the Championship like fish to water, traumatizing defenders with his clever movement and clinical nature in front of goal. He’s scored 23 goals in 37 appearances, often saving the Baggies from trouble with his timely goals. Gayle’s unpredictable switch in movement, fantastic striking ability and cunning nature can trouble the Villans.
Clearly, he’s West Brom’s leader in attack this season and will aim to march them forward to success by ploughing goals past his rivals.

Abraham might be revelling in an inspiring goal-scoring season, but the fact that he’s coming off an injury automatically gives Gayle the edge.
The West Brom striker pips him in terms of experience, which will be a telling factor allowing him to win this one.
