In the summer transfer window, Yannick Bolasie joined Aston Villa on a season-long loan from Crystal Palace where he was deemed surplus to requirement with Roy Hodgson at Selhurst Park. He joined a talented side with a mix of highly-rated prospects and experience that had just missed out on the Premier League following a Play-off Final loss to Fulham.
It hasn’t gone that smoothly this season as Villa sit in 13th in the Championship, sandwiched between sides that are too high up to be worried by relegation just yet, yet not high enough to challenge amongst the upper echelons of the table. Steve Bruce was sacked this week and that presents an opportunity for Bolasie to finally start some games.

Bolasie has only 84 minutes under his belt this season but has scored twice which bodes well for the future under a boss willing to start him. Villa fans also evidently back him, as they have been positive about him on Twitter.
Funny that he plays 20 mins and scores guys quality Bruce couldn’t see it past hoof ball
