Aston Villa: Fans not happy as Mahmoud Trezeguet says he is not leaving - Aston Villa

A lot of Aston Villa fans are not happy after summer signing Mahmoud Trezeguet has said he does not want to leave the club, according to King_FUT, via the Express and Star.

The attacker arrived from Turkish league side Kasimpasa for around £9.00 million (per Transfermarkt) and, in his 24 Premier League games, he has scored three times and assisted twice.

He has been linked with a move to Super Lig side Besiktas, via the Daily Mail, but his latest comments seem like the player is keen to prove doubters wrong and excel in England and he said, “Playing in the English Premier League was a dream for me.”

Fans have not been happy with his overall play, and his offensive statistics when you compare him to other players in the squad back up their criticisms, per WhoScored. The Egyptian has only managed on average 0.8 key passes per game, and 1.5 shots per game. For context, Anwar El Ghazi has managed 1.1 key passes and 1.8 shots per game whilst Jack Grealish’s ranks the highest with 2.7 key passes and 2.1 shots per game.
