Our Aston Villa fans here in the Transfer Tavern really cannot wait to see what next season brings as they think they will be on the promotion charge for the duration of it.
Indeed, that surely has to be the hope now Steve Bruce is in charge thanks to his record of getting clubs into the Premier League.
Of course, a lot remains to be seen and there is still plenty to be decided in terms of transfers, for example, but you can tell the Villa Park squad has the potential to get back into the Premier League.
Indeed, they certainly have the chance to do just that with Jonathan Kodjia up front, though they’re going to have to make do without him for the rest of the season.
The striker went off against Blackburn thanks to injury but fans were quick to offer their support via Twitter.
Here, then, is the best of the reaction:
Get well soon @J_Kodjia really wanted to see you hit the 20 goal mark this season #avfc#utvpic.twitter.com/NrMjBsuJ6Z
