The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern have admitted that they do not know who will be playing up front for them next season.
Tammy Abraham will return from his loan spell with Bristol City after scoring 23 Championship goals but he will probably be loaned out again while Michy Batshuayi’s future is in doubt despite scoring 4 in his last 3 games (including the all-important goal to win Chelsea the Premier League title).
And there are also doubts over the future of Diego Costa, who is attracting interest from China.
Now another side are in for the hot-headed forward.
Atletico Madrid will attempt to re-sign the 28-year-old three years after selling him to Chelsea, reports The Independent.
The Spanish giants will only pay up to £20m, though, as that is all they believe he is worth.
The Spain international, who is reportedly not very keen on a move to Chelsea, would be interested in a return to his former club so it looks like it now down to Chelsea to decide whether £20m is enough to prise away their top scorer.
Chinese Super League outfit Tianjin Quanjin were prepared to splash £76m on Diego Costa but Atletico Madrid will only pay £20m.
Chelsea fans – what do you think of this? Would you sell Costa for £20m? Let us know below…
