Chelsea fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are waiting on a player’s decision after ESPN revealed that Atletico Madrid’s Alessio Cerci is yet to decide on a switch move to AC Milan, which would see Fernando Torres return to Spain.
The Italian midfielder has had a tough time since his move to Atleti and has struggled to settle in under Diego Simeone’s regime and has just made nine appearances.
Chelsea revealed that Torres will join Milan permanently next summer but any swap relies on Cerci agreeing on the deal too.
The 27-year-old would most likely be open to a move to Italy after playing some great football in his homeland but sources reveal that the attacker is nowhere near to making a decision.
It is said that Cerci is yet to give the go ahead and in response to the recent rumours the player posted his thoughts on his Facebook page.
He said: “As always, whenever I read news about me, all I see is information which isn’t true.
“I haven’t turned anyone down and nor have I signed anything with anyone. I am an Atletico Madrid player and I am considering the best option for both parties.”
