Newcastle United haven’t done too badly in recent times, considering they’ve come up against the likes of Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur.
The Magpies conceded a late goal against Spurs last time out after defending well all game, which made them miss out on the opportunity to secure two positive results against two teams currently chasing the title.
However, Newcastle United will travel to Molineux to face Wolverhampton Wanderers in their next Premier League fixture. The Midlands club have been very impressive in recent times as they continue to build towards securing a European spot, so Rafa Benitez’s side will be up against it away from home.
So, with a couple of underperformers letting the Spaniard down last time out, Benitez simply can’t allow this Newcastle PAIR to ruin his side’s chances of silencing Wolves on Monday…
Martin Dubravka has been one of the standout performers at St James’ Park this season, but he’ll want to forget all about his second-half showing against Spurs last time out. The Slovakian international was at fault for the London club’s goal as he let the ball slide under him, so Benitez will be wary of him making a similar mistake on Monday.
Of course, you can’t question his efforts up until this point in the current campaign, but things could soon start to unravel if he fails to keep things tight at Molineux.
Christian Atsu has been deployed on the left-hand side quite regularly by Rafa Benitez as his pace often helps them get up the field and away from trouble.
But, things were far from perfect at Wembley Stadium last time out as the Ghanaian put in a very ordinary performance. He was very quiet and lost the ball on a few occasions, with very little support given to Rondon.
Wolves are very strong defensively, so Benitez simply has to get the best out of his attacking players if his side are to take anything away from the Midlands.
