The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are feeling pretty mixed at the moment. Though their draw over the weekend against Man Utd offered reasons for optimism in the Premier League, their form has, for the most part, been very poor lately. They’ve struggled to pick up wins in the English top flight, and so they’re currently sat in 8th place in the Premier League – far behind many of their rivals.
For a side that should be competing at the top, they simply haven’t been good enough, and there are a few factors that could be at play in this regard. Their defensive woes have been a big problem, undoubtedly, but injuries have also played their part. Fortunately, there is good news for Liverpool on that front.
As confirmed on Liverpool’s official website, Adam Lallana has now returned to Melwood as he continues to recover from a thigh problem, with the Englishman now edging closer to a return. He is still some way off a first-team return, it seems, but any progress is good progress, and so Liverpool will be very happy about this.
His road to recovery has been very long, whilst Liverpool have been desperate for his influence on the field, and it appears as though the Liverpool faithful have missed him desperately. The news was recently shared on the Liverpool Reddit page, and it’s safe to say that fans are absolutely delighted.
