Liverpool's season so far, at least in the Premier League, has been plain sailing for Jurgen Klopp. The Reds have been one of the most impressive teams in the English top flight thus far, and they're one of only a few teams yet to suffer a defeat in the Premier League.

From front to back, many of Liverpool's main men have looked very good indeed, and Klopp will be hoping that continues for the foreseeable future.

However, the German is now facing a rather significant hurdle that he'll have to move past if he's to have any chance of continuing Liverpool's fine run of form. According to the Telegraph, James Milner is set to miss around a month worth of action through injury.

This likely wouldn't have been a huge issue last season, but Milner has started the 18/19 season on fire, and so he'll be a huge loss for the Reds over the next few weeks.

However, for one player, it could prove to be a blessing in disguise. Indeed, the news could be music to the ears of creative ace Adam Lallana, who is rated at £22.5m by Transfer Markt.

Lallana is reportedly set to return to action for Liverpool after the international break, and this timing could be perfect for the Reds and for him.

Milner has offered tremendous quality going forward over the last few weeks, and that's something that Lallana would be able to replicate. The Englishman is a creative master, and given that Liverpool have lacked a Philippe Coutinho-type player as of late, he'd be a great fit. His range of passing is fantastic, not to mention the impact that he can have in front of goal.

During his best year at Anfield, back in the 2016/17 season, Lallana was able to have a significant impact under Jurgen Klopp, and with a return of 8 goals and 7 assists, his quality was clear for all to see. Though he's had his fair share of injury problems since that point, he's still the same player that he was back then.

Lallana is also more than capable of matching the work rate that Milner provides. He's a willing runner and can offer boundless energy, and so he'd fit in with Jurgen Klopp's high-pressing style perfectly. He has had a tough year or so, but Lallana is still a very talented player. He began to show his talent again towards the end of last season, and if he's given an extended run in the team over the next few weeks, he could prove to Jurgen Klopp yet again just how influential he can be.
