Bad news emerging out of Carrington for Man United fans – Report

Manchester United fans here in the Tavern are hoping for positive vibes in the run in until the end of the season, after underlying issues have affected the club in recent times.

Indeed, the Red Devils were filled with hope heading into their Champions League round of 16 tie with Spanish side Sevilla, but a lacklustre performance saw David De Gea’s heroics come to the rescue on multiple occasions. Although, there was evident problems even prior to kick-off for Jose Mourinho’s side, with the Paul Pogba saga thickening after being left out of the starting line-up. And, it doesn’t look to have stopped there, as according to reports in the Sun, Jose Mourinho and Paul Pogba had a furious training-ground showdown.

The Red Devils chief asked Pogba to “have a look at the sign on the door on the way out” – after heated talks in his office, a sign that stated ‘manager’. This, after the Frenchman had approached the 55-year-old to speak about his unhappiness over tactics and his own issues with the position he’s being played in.

Indeed, having been subbed twice and missing from the starting line-up three times in the last five games, the world-record signing faces an uncertain future at Old Trafford. And, perhaps this is the last straw for Paul Pogba and his Manchester United career, as the latest development has the midfielder feeling unhappy after being called out in front of other players.

Landlord’s Verdict:

Paul Pogba is arguably one of the best midfielders in the whole of world football, but since making the move to Manchester he’s yet to live up to the price-tag that was paid for his services. Although, the lack of involvement in the United starting line-up plays a huge factor in that, after failing to be provided with sufficient opportunities to impress this season.

Nevertheless, the bad vibes being promoted by the pairing is the last thing that our local Mancunians want, with the Red Devils heading into an important part of their campaign.
