The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are desperate for the return of Santi Cazorla…
The Spaniard missed the majority of last season through injury, but unfortunately for the fans in the pub, it doesn’t look like he will be returning to action anytime soon.
Speaking to Cadena Ser, Cazorla has revealed the difficulties that he has faced on his road to recovery, a road that has included eight surgeries and a worsening condition. Perhaps the most disappointing blow for the fans in the Transfer Tavern, though, is that Cazorla also revealed how long it will be before he returns. He said: “I have not been told deadlines, it is very difficult to put dates, but I think it will not be before 5 months”.
Undoubtedly, this has come as a big blow for the Gunners. For his part, Cazorla has been nothing short of a revelation since moving to the Emirates, with his stellar playmaking ability really proving important for Arsene Wenger’s side. Since his injury, they have really lacked that creative spark at times, and so many in the pub were hoping for an imminent return.
Unfortunately, though, that doesn’t seem likely to be the case. However, as committed and positive as Cazorla is, our landlord is backing him to come back and be better than ever next season.
For the Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern, the prospect of a Cazorla return is as exciting as any potential summer signings that might be made over then next few months.
