The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are loving life at the moment. Under Jurgen Klopp, the Reds look to have turned over a new leaf, and at the centre of it all is Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian has been nothing short of a revelation at Anfield this season, having already broken the 20 goal mark in all competitions.
However, it appears as though his form hasn’t gone unnoticed, and that could be bad news for Jurgen Klopp. According to Don Balon, it is looking increasingly likely that Salah could become a Real Madrid player next summer – with Florentino Pérez reportedly viewing him as a perfect replacement for Gareth Bale. Alongside this, Barcelona continue to be keen on Philippe Coutinho.
Any move, of course, will not be easy for Los Blancos, with Liverpool likely to be desperate not to sell, but the lure of Real Madrid can often be too much. We all saw just how desperate Coutinho was to leave over the summer, and it remains to be seen whether the same could happen with Salah.
That being said, it’s no real surprise that other clubs are interested, and so for Liverpool, they’re likely expecting it. Salah has been Liverpool’s best player this term, offering electric pace, incredible technique and, most importantly, goals. The Egyptian has shocked everyone in the Transfer Tavern.
Still, Klopp will no doubt be terrified at the prospect of losing Salah, and so he’ll want his club to do all he can to ensure that he remains at Anfield long-term.
This isn’t a surprise.
Salah is sure to have a lot of suitors next summer, with no club in Europe likely to say no to him on current form.
Liverpool will have a fight on their hands.
