The Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern have been delighted with the form of Harry Kane this season. The Englishman, who was touted as a one-season wonder a few years ago, continues to go from strength to strength.
Indeed, he has now emerged as, arguably, the most potent forward in Europe – and that’s certainly not a hyperbolic statement. He really has been that good, as proven by his heroic performance against Juventus earlier this week.
The latest comments from Mauricio Pochettino regarding him, then, are very concerning. According to Ben Dinnery over on Twitter, Pochettino has confirmed that Kane picked up a knock against Juventus earlier this week – and so his availability ahead of this weekend’s clash with Rochdale has yet to be confirmed.
Pochettino will make a late call on Harry Kane who picked a knock in Turin. #COYS

Though he has not been explicitly ruled out for the game, the Englishman clearly isn’t at 100% and is a doubt, and that’s problematic for Tottenham.
You can’t have many complaints with Pochettino’s team, but their reliance on Kane is evident, and should he miss any game time with an injury, the Lilywhites will have cause for concern.
They are fortunate in that their opponents this weekend, Rochdale, should be beatable with or without Kane – but the same cannot be said for their fixtures over the coming weeks. Some big games are on the horizon as they look to force their way into the top four – and so this news will no doubt leave our resident Tottenham fans sweating.
Pochettino doesn’t seem too concerned about Kane, with a long-term layoff looking very unlikely.
However, it’s clearly bad news, as he has been in stunning form this term.
It would make sense for him to miss the game this weekend if he isn’t at 100%, but Spurs will need him against Crystal Palace next week.
