It is a rumour that has been gathering pace during the last few weeks and therefore it is no surprise to see The Sun reporting that Mario Balotelli is ready to join AC Milan in a £24 million deal.
The Manchester City striker looks to set to leave England during January after experiencing poor form on the pitch alongside off-the-field problems that capitulated with a training ground bust up with manager Roberto Mancini.
The Sun suggests that Balotelli has now given notice on his house in Cheshire and even started to fly his worldly possessions back to Milan with his representative visiting Italy to sort out a deal with Milan.
The Italian international left Inter Milan in 2010 on a £22 million transfer and after only some flashes of brilliance he will be returning back to the San Siro with his tail between his legs.
City want to recoup all of the transfer fee they forked out for him two years ago and it appears that Milan are prepared to pay that to bring Mario home.
Balotelli has fallen out of favour at City with Carlos Tevez, Edin Dzeko and Sergio Aguero in front of him in the striking pecking order and he was only a substitute during today’s game against Fulham.
