Our good friends in Spain who seem to have grown attached to the Gunners and, now fancy a pop at another of Arsene’s midfielders.
The subject in question this time round is their Brazilian maestro Denílson who allegedly commands a £10 million price tag. It would seem that the Catalan giants are FINALLY fed up of working up there supporters with Cesc rumours only too let them down time after time.
Denílson, 22, is a much more attainable target but even so it seems that Arsene wouldn’t want to lose his understudy to the ever impressive Alex Song.
He (Denílson) is said to be very happy with life at the Gunners and under normal circumstances wouldn’t want to leave the club. He told O Globo “I am presently happy with Arsenal, but I am a professional player and I can never discard anything in my future,”
Wolfsburg manager Steve McClaren has also shown his interest in the combative midfielder and is allegedly prepared to pip Barca’s £10 million by adding a further million and possibly a swap deal.
