Barcelona hot on the trail of talented Manchester United starlet

The Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern were watching the under-17 World Cup final last weekend and were telling us just how good Angel Gomes could be.

Angel Gomes came on as a substitute for the England under-17 team as they triumphed 5-2 over Spain in India to lift the World Cup trophy for that age group.

Manchester United fans are extremely excited by the young midfielder, who has already made his first team debut.

But recent reports have left them worried about whether his future lies at Old Trafford or elsewhere.

According to a report by The Sun, Manchester United fear that they could end up losing Angel Gomes as Barcelona step up their interest in the talented teenager.

Barcelona are stepping up their efforts to sign the 17-year-old, who made his debut as a substitute for Manchester United at the end of last season, against Crystal Palace.

The England youth international’s father, Gil, who played for Portugal at youth level, has confirmed that a number of top clubs across the whole of Europe are interested in signing the Manchester United starlet.

Spanish giants Barcelona are leading the chase and could look to flex their muscles with a concrete bid soon.
