Manchester United fans have been trying their luck at the fruit machine in the Transfer Tavern today but it appears their side will earn no good fortune in their pursuit of an excellent Barcelona star.
Despite reportedly agreeing a deal to bring Ezequiel Lavezzi to the Nou Camp next summer, The Daily Mirror state the Catalan giants remain adamant that they will not sell Neymar to Manchester United.
Lavezzi can leave Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer next summer and is available to talk to clubs outside France in January ahead of a pre-contractual agreement but the signing of the Argentine will provide no impact to Neymar’s position at the club.
Brazilian superstar Neymar has made it clear to supporters that he intends to remain at the Nou Camp and will sign a new deal, whilst he’s been firing on all cylinders on the field after a four-goal haul against Rayo Vallecano at the weekend.
Our United regulars aren’t too concerned by the latest reports as they’ve always believed a move for Neymar is a ridiculous one to chase, as they feel their side has absolutely no chance of landing the Ballon D’Or contender.
United fans, is pursuing Neymar a waste of time? Let us know in the comments below!
