Everton have been beaten for the first time this season and the next few games will be decisive for the Toffees fans, does Marco Silva have the ability to make his team bounce back?
The next few games will be a real test considering the amount of injuries Everton have as a club but with Marco Silva at the helm, fans can rest assured knowing that the Portuguese boss is one full of quality and ability, meaning it won’t take long for the Toffees to bounce back.
If that doesn’t happen, then the January transfer window could prove to be a make-or-break point in Everton’s season and so far after five games, it’s clear to see they need a new striker and someone of the immense quality possessed by Bas Dost.
Dost, (who is valued at £19.8 million on Transfermarkt) has been one of the top goalscorers across Europe for the last few seasons and his form with Sporting Lisbon is quite frankly electric.
Having already scored two goals in two games, the 29-year-old will be hopeful of reaching or even surpassing his 27 league goals scored from last season. Considering that in total, Cenk Tosun, Calvert-Lewin and Oumar Niasse managed 17 goals between them last season, Bas Dost is definitely the striker Everton are crying out for and must sign in January.
The big Dutch striker has been at the top of his game over the last few seasons and should that form continue, Everton would be a very lucky club to call him theirs. They never replaced the huge hole left by Romelu Lukaku but certainly, signing Bas Dost would go a long way into doing that.
