Bayer Leverkusen rule out sale of star striker to Arsenal

HernandezArsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern have turned to the heavy spirits after being handed disappointment on the transfer front, with a move for an excellent striker ruled out.

The Sun states Arsenal’s interest in Javier Hernandez has been shattered by Bayer Leverkusen, who insist the Mexican international will not be sold.

Former Manchester United striker Hernandez has excelled in Germany since leaving Old Trafford in the summer, scoring 19 goals in 26 games- leading to frustration from United regulars in the bar, who are crying out for a striker in that vein of form.

Arsenal planned to hand United more misery as they eyed a move, with Alexis Sanchez reported to have pleaded with Arsene Wenger to make the transfer a reality.

However, Bayer Leverkusen’s Sporting Director Rudi Voller ruled-out a January sale for Hernandez as he said:

“It’s easy to reject offers when you are in a position you don’t need to sell. We will keep all the players we want to help us achieve our goals.”

Arsenal fans are still hopeful of exciting signings this month but have expressed their disappointment to our bar staff.
