Bayern Munich’s Jerome Boateng is said to have been subject of interest from a number of the top sides in England and La Liga, according to quotes from his agent that are cited in The Daily Express.
Despite the interest Christian Nerlinger, the agent of the former Manchester City defender, believes that his client will not leave the Bavarian giants.
“He [Boateng] has stirred interest at Spanish and English top clubs. When Bayern want to keep a player then they also have the means to succeed in doing so.”
The 27-year-old German World Cup winner struggled to shine whilst at City during his one season under Roberto Mancini but has since shone in the Bundesliga, where Bayern have won back-to-back titles.
City fans at the bar are wondering if it was their club that enquired about bringing the German back to the Etihad, stating they would boast a frightening relationship with Boateng alongside Vicent Kompany.
Which Premier League giant would benefit from Boateng’s signature the most? Let us know in the comments below!
