The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are delighted with Alexis Sanchez’s recent form, and BBC Pundit Garth Crooks is seemingly of the same opinion…
Placing the Chilean within his ‘Team of the Week‘, Crooks has delivered a hugely positive verdict on Sanchez – describing him as ‘genuinely world-class’, before praising his weekend display: “He then turns up at Stoke on Saturday, no place for the faint-hearted, and destroys them”.
Certainly, Crooks’ comments are definitely deserving – with Sanchez in fine form in recent weeks. A goal against Stoke City over the weekend was the least that his performance deserved – with the Chilean looking devastating against the Potters.
In many ways, his performance was a microcosm of his performances all year long. With 21 goals now this season, Sanchez has proven his worth to Arsenal and to the Premier League – and his future will certainly be an interesting topic of discussion this summer.
The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern were delighted with Sanchez’s performance this weekend – but they still remain concerned. Arsenal, as a whole, look unlikely to finish in the top four at this point – leaving many wondering why the Gunners have left it this late to come though with several successive great performances.
It is going to be a very interesting end to the season for the Gunners…
