David Beckham’s future has been the subject of much recent speculation with QPR, PSG and Tottenham all mentioned as potential suitors.
The former England captain has not ruled out staying at current club, LA Galaxy, but admits that he is not sure where he will end up.
He told The Daily Telegraph: “I have had a lot of offers and I must say that I’m amazed that, at my age, I have had so many. Its been a bit of a surprise.
“I have to see how my body feels once the play-offs are over, but I love it here and there is a real chance I will stay, especially if my family are happy.
“What will actually happen next I still can’t say, but what is very important in the decision in terms of what I do, be it staying here, or going to PSG or wherever, is that I get enough time on the pitch because I want to be part of the Olympics.”
As a possible sweetener to the pot, PSG’s Qatari owners are alleged to be offering Beckham a TV role promoting Al Jazeera Sports, which will be broadcasting Ligue 1 games next season.
His current contract ends in December and he is unlikely to agree a deal until after the play-offs, despite what had been reported in French newspaper Le Parisien, which stated a deal with PSG was all but done.
Beckham has previously worked with PSG director of football, Leonardo, during his two loan spells at AC Milan.
He told French website sports.fr: “He’s [Leonardo] a great sporting director and a wonderful person. I’m flattered that he wants me to come join him and the team in Paris, but I’m a Galaxy player, I live in Los Angeles, I am happy there and I play for them.
“There are great things happening in France at several clubs, but it’s an exciting time for PSG…Leonardo joining them, the money the club has, so it’s an interesting club.”
Since being taken over by the Qatar Investment Authority PSG have made some high-profile signings and have also been linked to further big-money deals.
