The Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern are delighted that so many young players are getting a chance under Mauricio Pochettino…
Harry Winks is the latest protegee of the Argentine manager, and his rise this season has been nothing short of remarkable. Quickly establishing himself within the first team fold, Winks has been on a stellar run this year – with a number of vital performances proving his worth at White Hart Lane.
However, there are now fears amongst the Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern that the English midfielder’s season could be over. He suffered an injury over the weekend to his ankle, forcing him out of the game – leaving the field on a stretcher.
The BBC have since reported that he could be out for the season, and this would be a huge blow not just for him, but also for Tottenham’s title hopes as a hole. Whilst he hasn’t been a regular starter this year, his influence is often assertive, and much like Cesc Fabregas at Chelsea, he has often made an impact when brought on from the bench.
Unsurprisingly, the Tottenham fans on Twitter are absolutely devastated at the news…

Ugly but comfortable win today. Dier looked like a monster back in his natural DM role, Eriksen is great, get well soon, Winks! #COYS
