‘Beginning of the end?’ – Liverpool fans bemoan injury update on Twitter ahead of FA Cup tie

The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are looking forward to their FA Cup clash against West Bromwich Albion later today.

Realistically speaking, Liverpool only have two trophies left to play for this season, so their 4th round clash this evening arguably represents one of their most important fixtures of the season so far. Jurgen Klopp will be eager to ensure that his players secure their passage to the 5th round of the competition without the need for a replay, as a second fixture could negatively impact on their bid to finish in the top-four this season.

Liverpool’s manager delivered a press-conference to the media yesterday in which he delivered some early team news and provided an injury update for the supporters. Lallana properly returned to the first-team fold in the middle of December after a troublesome hamstring injury forced him to watch Liverpool’s opening to the campaign from the sidelines.

However, judging by the reaction to Lallana’s injury update on Twitter, it seems that the England international has become rather unwanted by the supporters who are growing tired of his inability to remain fit.

Here’s what the Liverpool supporters had to say in response to Lallana’s new injury problem…
