Everton striker Romelu Lukaku has dropped his biggest hint yet that he is keen to join Manchester United, by insisting that he would be happy to work with Jose Mourinho once more.
The Portuguese manager is set to be handed the Manchester United job this summer and the striker who he sold whilst manager of Chelsea is a top target for the Red Devils.
The Toffees striker has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United this summer and fans of the club have been buzzing here in the Transfer Tavern, at the prospect of such a world class striker joining the club.
Our landlord is busy serving the Easter Monday punters here in the Tavern and he has spotted some quotes in The Metro.
When asked about working with Mourinho again, he said:
“Of course I would.
“Some people would say that I need to convince him but it’s really not a question of that.
“Three years ago I was 20 and I wasn’t ready to be immediately effective in a top team.
“Several good seasons, including the current one, have changed the situation now.”
One United fan is sat awaiting the pool knockout which the landlord has decided to hold this evening and he thinks that Lukaku would be a great addition to the current Red Devils squad.
Manchester United fans, would you welcome Lukaku? Would he fit into the club’s current style of play?
