Bellamy Vs. Pavyluchencko

Shhhhh, don't tell them that I'm crap really

If, as seems likely, the overpriced, under-performing and largely ineffectual Roman Pavyluchencko is replaced by the much cheaper and fair less disinterested Craig Bellamy, it will represent good business for Spurs.

The club more or less bought this highly-rated Russian by mistake, while the real deal went to The Emirates.

Tottenham have always had very gifted but hugely inconsistent players and ‘Pav’ is part of that unfortunate tradition. On his day he can look very impressive but he misses too many of the abundance of chances set up by his gifted teammates.

Too often he seems more concerned about his hairstyle or grandstanding rather than doing the job he’s paid to do. Bellamy on the other hand is a grafter and will back himself against any defender. ‘Pav’ often gives defenders a day off while he wanders about looking disappointed with how things are going. Bellamy gets stuck in. However badly the game is going, this ferociously passionate Welshman doesn’t give up. Even though he’s not a prolific scorer, he makes defenders lives a misery and he is a crowd pleaser of the kind Tottenham fans demand.

Let the Russian go to stroll about in Spain and see how well Bellamy does supported by a team full of gifted players at the Lane.
