Newcastle fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are weighing up whether or not they should accept or reject the most recent bid for their midfielder.
According to L’Equipe, Hamburg have put forward a £9.5 million bid for the Magpies powerful midfielder Moussa Sissoko.
It is believed the Frenchman has little interest in joining the Toon Army in the Championship and he hopes to stay in the Premier League, with Chelsea and Liverpool both being linked with him.
But the board at St. James’ Park are reportedly happy to accept Hamburg’s bid and he could have no choice but to relocate in Germany, instead of waiting for a move to one of the Premier League’s new boys.
It would be a huge profit for the Magpies after he arrived three years ago from Toulouse for a measly £2 million.
Largely, he has proved to be a good signing for the North East giants, though his lacklustre performances this term invoked the ire of the fans.
