Benitez reportedly makes brave Newcastle United transfer decision

Newcastle United fans are eager to see Rafa Benitez add to his side in the last days of the transfer window, with the Magpies’ Premier League status resting on potential signings.

Indeed, the goalscoring woes of their strikers continues to affect the side, as it’s yet another midfielder providing the goals for the Magpies this time out. And, with the likes of Dwight Gayle and Aleksandar Mitrovic still stagnating in the background, it’s about time that one of them made an exit.

As according to reports in the Chronicle Live, Rafa Benitez looks to provide funds for incoming players by making Aleksandar Mitrovic available for transfer.

Indeed, Rafa Benitez is seeking for a loan deal that provides the option for a permanent move at the end of the season, as Mitrovic’s number finally looks to be up on Tyneside after becoming heavily out of favour under the Spaniard.

Having managed to find the back of the net on two occasions in just seven appearances for the club, some would say that’s a better record than current striker Joselu’s who sits on four goals after triple the number of games.

And, they won’t look to hang around for a deal either after fielding the same team that featured in a Championship match against Swansea City last season, due to a lack of squad depth.

Nevertheless, with the inability to score goals becoming ever present in Joselu’s game at the point of the Magpies’ attack, producing funds for other transfer targets would be crucial for Newcastle’s survival.

Landlord’s Verdict:

Seeing Mitrovic depart won’t be a miss at all for the Magpies if they can manage to secure the services of a proven goalscorer. Although, had they given him the chance in the Premier League, he could have turned into quite the prospect on Tyneside.

Nevertheless, a promising player that’ll be sure to score goals wherever he ends up, as a striker that’ll be happy at the thought of an exit from a club that’s shown little respect to the Serbian.
