The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern were delighted to see their side progress to the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup last night.
Arsene Wenger welcomed David Moyes’ vastly improved West Ham team to The Emirates yesterday evening looking to continue his impressive record against the former Manchester United manager. And Wenger’s side had little problem in extending his unbeaten record against Moyes to 5 games, as Arsenal progressed to the next round of the competition courtesy of a Danny Welbeck strike just before half-time.
The future of Arsene Wenger has long been the focus of plenty of discussion in the British media, especially amongst the Arsenal supporters who have been firmly divided on the issue for many years.
Although Wenger has committed his future at the club until the end of next season, rumours linking a new manager to Arsenal continue to crop up from time to time.
The latest man to be linked with the Arsenal hot-seat is their former player and current Manchester City assistant coach Mikel Arteta.
Naturally, there are plenty of Arsenal fans who believe Arteta is far too inexperienced to undertake such a role at this stage in his career, but that view has certainly not been shared by the entirety of the fan base.
Arteta has only been in his current role working alongside Pep Guardiola for just under 18 months, however, the education he will be receiving alongside one of the world’s greatest coaches has given a handful of the Arsenal supporters reason to feel positive about the rumours.
Here’s what the Arsenal supporters had to say in response to the Arteta links…
The best choice for the future he’s really special

So send Arteta to be under study to Pep. Then bring this knowledge together with what he learnt under Wenger. Genius tbh

I don’t know if this is good news or bad.. Is Arteta an upgrade on Wenger..
Or does the fact that he’s learning from Pep count as an upgrade??
