According to reports SPL champions Celtic are set launch another bid to sign Newcastle United forward Leon Best.
Celtic made a last ditch attempt to sign best on deadline day in January but the Best snubbed the move and refused to leave Newcastle.
It is now reported Newcastle are desperate to unload Best and will accept offers of as little as £2m for the striker which has again alerted Celtic to his availability.
The 25-year-old who orignally snubbed the move to Celtic for family reasons as his son was only 10 weeks old at the time seems to favour the move this summer with the lure of possible Champions League football a nice carrott for him (with Mike Ashley being the stick in this case).
With Demba Ba and Papiss Cisse the obvious first choice forwards and Shola Ameobi getting chances due to his service to the club ahead of Best a move away should increase his chances of first team football.
He will still face competition at Celtic from top scorer Gary Hooper, Samaras and Stokes but in all honesty Best will find it easier to ease some of these strikers out of the team than he would Ba, Cisse and Ameobi.
